Finish off 2020 with a new event to bring some Christmas cheer to this unfortunate year. Here’s how to get involved with the Worldwide Christmas Eve Jingle 2020.
The UK Government recently announced that some parts of the country will be in Tier 4 lockdown, meaning that they will not be allowed to leave their homes or be outside unless there is a reasonable excuse.
As a result, many people are suddenly alone for the festive period, but the Christmas Eve Jingle may somewhat be a solution to it.

What is the 6pm Christmas Eve Jingle 2020?
The event was created by Mary Beggs-Reid, a woman from Harrogate, North Yorkshire, on Facebook.
She had an idea on October 19th, which was meant to be a small event within her community, for households to ring bells for two minutes by their doors to raise Christmas spirit.
The inspiration came from the movie ‘Elf’, where they all sing to spread the holiday cheer. Mary wanted to do the same for the children in Harrogate, due to the terrible year they’ve had.
What makes the event special is that it cannot be cancelled due to COVID-19 and it doesn’t matter what tier you are in. #
