Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to share his criticism of Tottenham, after they allowed Fulham to equalise in the 1-1 draw last night.
Ivan Cavaleiro rose highest to nod home a cross from Ademola Lookman, at the same end that Harry Kane did the same following a fine delivery from Sergio Reguilon.

For some reason, after the England international’s opener, Jose Mourinho’s side seemed happy to just sit back and protect their lead.
This approach seemingly failed to impress Lineker, who said Spurs were ‘asking for trouble’ by doing that.
You can see what the BBC Match of the Day host tweeted in full below.
Excellent goal from @FulhamFC and you have to say they deserve their equaliser…well you don’t have to say it, but if you just sit on a one goal lead, you’re asking for trouble. I’m sure @SpursOfficial will try attacking again now.

This is a worrying, recurring theme for Tottenham under Mourinho this season.
The north Londoners did the same thing earlier in the season after taking the lead against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

They also did it again after Tanguy Ndombele scored against Wolves to make it 1-0 at Molineux towards the end of December.
It is simply a huge risk to do this.
Of course, it looks great if you get the three points and a clean sheet.

However, as Wolves, Fulham and Crystal Palace showed, it leaves you open to conceding late goals which then gives you a mountain to climb.
Once Tottenham go into defensive mode, it is then hard to break out of that and look to score again, which hands the momentum to the opposition.
Mourinho has to make Tottenham more forward-thinking, or at least wait until they’ve scored twice before making his side sit behind the ball.
