Every transfer window throws up the odd strange rumour; a random name that seems like it’s plucked out of nowhere.
Big clubs like Rangers and Celtic both get thrown into stories by agents looking to drive interest in their clients, with fans no doubt rolling their eyes at many links.
A reasonable rumour emerged from 90Min as they reported that the Old Firm duo are both keen on Liverpool-owned striker Taiwo Awoniyi.

Buried at the bottom of that report is a name that will surprise many, as Rangers and Celtic are allegedly interested in signing Fatai Gbadamosi, another Nigerian talent.
Gbadamosi is playing for Shooting Stars in Nigeria, and he is seemingly being tracked by the Glasgow giants in a rather surprise move.
Gbadamosi is a relative unknown; no Wikipedia page, no Transfermarkt page, no international call-ups to his name and little in the way of information.

Here’s what we do know; Gbadamosi is 22, he plays predominantly as a central midfielder, and has been playing in Nigeria’s Under-23’s.
Brief footage of him on YouTube suggests that he can pick the ball up from deep and carry it forward, whilst he’s also capable of scoring from range.
That’s about it; Gbadamosi is a rather random name to be linked with Rangers and Celtic right now, but who knows – maybe they’ve spotted a diamond in the rough.
